Russian giants Spartak Moscow took to the club’s social media platforms on Thursday to mock Bayern Munich over the club’s ongoing lawsuit against Sadio Mane.

The broad man’s name Mane has of course taken its place at the forefront of the headlines over the past couple of weeks.

It comes after the Senegal international made clear his desire to seal a move away from Liverpool, ahead of the start of the 2022/23 campaign.

The aforementioned Bayern, in turn, have been strongly tipped as a potential landing spot for the former Southampton standout, ahead of the planned exits of Serge Gnabry and Sadio Mane.

At this stage, however, to say that the Allianz Arena board’s efforts to coax their Liverpool counterparts into a sale have failed would be an understatement.

The Bundesliga champions’ opening bid, comprising an alleged £21m plus a further £4m in potential add-ons, was rejected without a second thought.

Then, on Wednesday, news broke that Bayern had returned to the table with an improved proposition.

On that occasion, the deal would have reached a total of £30million. However, bizarrely, it was later revealed that such a figure would only come to Liverpool in the event that Mane lands 3 (yes, THREE) Ballon d’Ors during his spell in Bavaria.

The offer, inevitably, was therefore too rejected.

And now, as mentioned above, Bayern Munich’s frankly insulting efforts to take advantage of both Mane’s contract situation and a desire for a new challenge have seen the German outfit become the butt of the joke of from another. quite recognizable European giant.

The outfit in question? Spartak Moscow.

Taking to social media on Thursday afternoon, Spartak released a humorous message, consisting of Bayern’s fabricated offer for Alexander Sobolev.

The proposal, an obvious jibe at the Bavarians over the nature of their follow-up offer for Mane, would consist of €1,000 up front, followed by the following trio of add-ons:

10 million euros if Bayern win Eurovision 15 million euros if Manchester United win a trophy 20 million euros if Lionel Messi joins Real Madrid
