The name of Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho hit the headlines on Sunday night, for quite the opposite reasons.

First of all, the 17-year-old won not one, but two individual awards.

Garnacho has spent the past two weeks plying his trade for Argentina’s U20s, at the historic Toulon tournament in France.

And the midfield prodigy, despite his country’s lackluster overall performance, continued to impress thoroughly, racking up four goals and one assist in his four appearances.

In turn, it should come as no surprise to learn that Garnacho on Sunday was named the tournament revelation in the south of France:

Not only that, but the Red Devils sensation also won the Goal of the Tournament award, due to the following set-piece special against France last weekend:

‘Why post this?’

As mentioned above, however, Garnacho’s night has since taken a turn for the worse.

Taking to his official Instagram account a short time ago, the young midfielder unveiled a picture of himself alongside none other than Mohamed Salah, along with a loveheart emoji:

And to say that the ensuing reaction from Manchester United fans turned out to be disapproving would be putting it lightly.

Taking to social media in droves, the Red Devils faithful have made clear their frustration with Garnacho’s actions, obviously of the view that Salah’s status as a Liverpool icon means one of the best promising talents of the club should avoid messages. with the Egyptian international:
