An outline of the details of a private conversation between Liverpool star Sadio Mane and Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann was provided on Friday.
Senegal international Mane, of course, has seen his name in the headlines over the past two weeks.
It comes as the 30-year-old, fresh from Premier League and Champions League heartbreak, has reportedly made his intentions to seek new pastures this summer to those in a position of power on the red half. from Merseyside.
German champions Bayern Munich, meanwhile, are the first to agree a deal for Mane, with the Bavarians looking for attacking reinforcements ahead of the planned sales of Serge Gnabry and Robert Lewandowski.
Not only that, but it’s understood that the Allianz Arena transfer team have already gone so far as to table a pair of offers for the explosive wide.
Both, however, were turned down without a second thought by the Liverpool board.

But, if the latest word coming out of the media on Friday is anything to go by, then the tough stance of his current employers doesn’t appear to have dampened Mane’s morale when it comes to possibly sealing a move to Munich.
According to a report from Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, the ex-Southampton star this week had a personal phone call with Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann.
And, during their exchange, the pair reportedly discussed Mane’s potential place in their starting XI in detail, with the winger once again ‘clarifying’ his long-held desire to link up with the football giants. Bundesliga:
